Be the Hero at the Next Fancy Dress Party With a Batman Costume

Batman is a popular fancy dress choice, and also one of the most famous comic book characters in the history of comics. With no superhero powers, Batman manages to defeat crime and the villains with only his excellent intellectual ability, detective skills, science and technology, martial arts skills and more. This particular superhero was created by Bob Kane who was the artist behind this revolutionary creation and Bill Finger who produced the words for the whole story-line.

Also given many other names such as 'The Dark Knight' and 'The World's Greatest Detective', Batman has been a huge hit in the comic world since his instantaneous popularity when his story was published in 1939. His secret identity, Bruce Wayne, had this urge to beat criminals when he witnessed the murder of his parents as a child - which is when the motivation sprang to train both physically and intellectually to defeat the bad guys.

Batman is such an inspirational and favourable character due to the fact that behind the costume he is just a regular man, he may be strong and intelligent, but he is regular. This means that whenever somebody puts this costume on at a fancy dress party they feel like a regular man in an indestructible costume. This particular comic book character also brings nostalgia for adults as they may have grown up reading about Batman in comic books and being completely inspired by him.

What you can expect when purchasing a Batman costume is his full superhero outfit along with the mask, the cape and everything else that comes with it - even the abs!! These are suitable for both adults and children for a wide variety of fancy dress occasions including themed book days and Halloween.

If you enjoy the Batman comics but you would rather go as his much loved crime-fighting partner Robin then you can do so quite as easily. Robin is well-known as being Batman's sidekick and you and a friend could even connect your costumes together to dress as the crime fighting duo. A costume of this nature would potentially consist of the full suit and the well-known mask.

Alternatively, The Joker could be the one for you if you want to be a villain for the night. You can either imitate The Joker simply to pay respect to Heath Ledger who played him in the latest Batman film or you can simply just fancy pretending to be evil for a day! This particular costume can be fun as you can use face paints yourself to make it completely unique to you.

Speaking of villains, there are also many women's outfits that can be worn with the Batman theme such as Catwoman and Poison Ivy or go on the good side with Batgirl. There is simply so many to choose from!

Feel the Magic of Disney With a Disney Fancy Dress Costume

Walt Disney and his team of fantasy, animated characters have sent us on adventures and taught us valuable life lessons since 1923. The now world renowned company has provided an excellent insight into the wonderful world of Disney with Princesses, Witches, Princes and other magical creatures. Many of the wonderful Disney tales are influenced by the history of fairy tales and folk tales, famously written by the Brothers Grimm (Jacob Grimm and Wilhelm Grimm).

The Brothers Grimm's folk tales were not so happy; they were usually filled with violence and were often shockingly different to the ones that we know. Disney changed these stories into happy and wonderful tales that have undoubtedly put smiles on the faces of billions over the years. At the beginning of Walt Disney's success, the star of the show was Mickey Mouse, who is still a favourite amongst the many characters that they have since introduced.

The animated films that were produced by this wonderful company are enjoyable and fulfilling for people of all ages. They provide magic for children and nostalgia of their childhood for adults and will do for years to come.

When it comes to fancy dress parties, the first choice for most children, and even adults, is to act as one of the magical characters featured in these animated films. Little girls want to mimic the beauty and innocence of the princesses in these tales and the little boys want to imitate the strength and handsomeness of the princes. Adults also want to dress up as the many animated, humorous creatures such as Goofy and Micky Mouse as a 'joke' in an attempt to hide their true feelings of evocativeness.

Princess costumes are highly popular throughout the Disney fancy dress ranges - especially for small girls who, when asked what they want to be when they grow up, is a princess. These costumes usually come with a full outfit including a tiara and possibly even a wig or some beautiful shoes. These undoubtedly make a little girl feel special when sporting such costume at a dressing up event.

Another popular favourite from little boys is the Woody cowboy costumes and ones that resemble Peter Pan. These give a boy a sense of adventure and purpose along with feeling like a little hero in the process. Within this set of costume you usually get a full outfit, along with the hat and possibly a few accessories.

Adults are usually very fond of the villain or funny costumes such as a Maleficent costume or maybe even a Tigger costume. These allow adults to completely let go and enjoy themselves whilst diving into the magic of Disney.

Cool Halloween Costume Ideas For Looking Funny

Finding and creating Halloween costumes can be a lot of fun! Many people want to find a great costume, without breaking the bank. They also want to find one that will get a good laugh or two. There are so many costumes to accomplish this and today I will talk about a few fun Halloween costume ideas!

One funny costume idea would be to dress up as some sort of cartoon character. Simpson's is always a popular idea as one year I dressed up as Marge Simpson, and so did another girl at the party I attended. It was pretty funny and we ended up having a great time together that night! I simply found a large green towel I used as the dress and a very inexpensive blue wig online.

Other ideas in the cartoon category could be finding a costume like Mr. Potato Head, Elmo, Scooby Doo, or the Cookie Monster. These types of costumes are readily available and will transport the party goers back to their childhood! They are also a great conversation starter as people love to reminisce about their favorite childhood shows!

Some other fun ideas would be to dress up as something food related. One year I went to a party dressed up as pumpkin. It was a lot of fun and everyone kept calling me "The Great Pumpkin"! I have also seen costumes that you can dress up as a giant carrot, a box of wine or even a big pepperoni pizza. Another very cute one is a giant hot dog or banana. I have seen those at a few parties and they are always a bit hit!

Another funny costume idea would be to dress up like Santa Claus. I have been to a lot of Halloween parties and never seen someone utilize another holiday for costume ideas. Snowmen, gingerbread cookies, the Easter bunny, and Cupid are a few ideas for bringing another holiday to the party on Halloween night.

Let's not forget about dressing up as something animal-related. A dog, a beaver, a bunny or a cat are popular and cute ideas. You can personalize these costumes by adding maybe a collar and a leash. The idea is to take a ready-made costume and add your own personal touches! The great thing about that is you are bound to have a unique costume that no one else at the party will have.
